- American Poems - Brief Bio + poems - includes a place for anyone to submit their analysis of a poem
- Bartleby - Great literature, authors, and more
- Famous American Poets and Poetry - Includes poetry and bio
- Favorite Poem Project - This is a good place to go for ideas, but there are not very many poets/poems listed.
- Modern American Poetry - Includes criticisms and some bio
- Poem Hunter - This site lists many poets/poems, but it is not very easy to navigate and it's not always accurate.
- Poetry 180 - This site includes a poem-a-day with mostly contemporary poets and poems.

- The Poetry Foundation - The Poetry Foundation is an independent literary organization that publishes 'Poetry' magazine. This website has lots of great resources including a poetry tool that locates famous poems and poets.

- EbscoHost - You can search for your poet here. Hint: put quotes around the full name - and spell it properly!! Example: 'Emily Dickinson' OR You can try to see if there is information about an individual poem. Again put quotes around the poem's title. Example: 'the road not taken'

- Gale Publisher's Literary Index - An index to all the Gale books - look up by author or title of works. ASK THE LIBRARIANS FOR HELP! They can tell you if CHS owns the books on the list.
