- *World Book Advanced* - Looking for an encyclopedia article about your icon? Check out this encyclopedia from INFOhio. Who needs Wikipedia anyways?
Databases:
- *Gale in Context: Biography*: This is a fabulous resource for biographical information.
- Gale Student Resources in Context - This comprehensive database will give you newspaper and magazine articles, book chapters, and more about events and people throughout history to the present. Use this to research more about the reasons you feel your person is an icon (like their accomplishments).
- Gale eBooks - Check our collection of reference eBooks to see if your person is mentioned. Some of our newer biographies in this resources include John Lewis, Martin Luther King, and Barack Obama.
- INFOhio - After trying the resources above, browse all of INFOhio's databases through iSearch to see if you come across any new information about your person. Change the tabs at the top to look for eBooks, encyclopedia articles, and more. You can also use this resource as a good place to conduct research on the reasons why you feel your person is an American icon.
